Rob McCarthy

Rob McCarthy
A Weymouth High School history teacher since 2000, Rob McCarthy has been coaching South Shore youths for 14 years. He began at Weymouth High School coaching the junior varsity men’s lacrosse team for five years, before moving up to the varsity ranks in 2006. In 2007, he assumed head coaching duties for Weymouth and was promptly recognized for his achievements, being named that year’s Bay State League Coach of the Year.

McCarthy, currently coaching with both Eastern Mass Hawks Lacrosse and Laxachusetts, is always on time and carrying a whistle and believes lacrosse teaching starts with fundamentals. Throwing, catching, shooting, and ground balls come first, followed by how to play the game.

Rob will lead the Hawks Lacrosse Youth Program with great knowledge, an incredible and fun energy, and a tenacity that all the Little Hawks will benefit from for years to come.
